From Our Garden to Your Table: The Story Behind Little L Salsa Garden

The Story Behind Little L Salsa Garden
At Little L Salsa Garden, we craft more than just gourmet salsa—we share a story of faith, transformation, and community.
The name "Little L" came from my wife, Kiandre, inspired by a moment in the Bible when Sarah humbly called Abraham "lord" with a small "l." This name represents how we approach our work: with humility, care, and an unwavering commitment to the small, meaningful details that make all the difference.
Our Belief in the Best Ingredients
Our journey started with a simple belief: the best flavors come from the best ingredients. That's why we grow and hand-roast every pepper, tomato, and herb that goes into our salsas.
I focus on specialty ingredients, carefully ripening them to their peak for the richest flavor and maximum nutritional benefits. Each jar we create reflects our passion for crafting something that’s not only delicious but also rooted in the values of faith, family, and community.
Trimaine’s Personal Transformation
I’m Trimaine Clark, and I’m proud to say that Little L Salsa Garden is the result of a personal transformation.
Though my roots run deep in Dallas, my story is also shaped by my family’s history in Florida.
My mother grew up in South Bay, and my father is from Tampa’s historic Ybor City. Both come from humble beginnings in communities that were grounded in hard work and perseverance, a legacy that continues to influence everything I do.
My story hasn’t always been a smooth one. I spent years in the streets, caught up in addictions and the chaos of poor choices, until a prayer in 2019 changed everything.
A Moment of Change
That prayer, asking God to help me find my way back, ignited a profound change in my life. In October 2019, I turned my life around and recommitted to my faith, returning to my calling as an ordained minister. I dove into serving my community, organizing and participating in mobile food pantries, toy and clothing drives, and back-to-school giveaways. It was during this personal transformation that I discovered a passion for gardening. In 2020, I began working on landscaping projects for my neighbors and the church. What started as a simple way to serve soon grew into a deeper connection with the land, eventually becoming a central part of my life.
A Legacy of Hard Work and Perseverance
After my mother’s passing in 2022, I founded communitiesovercompetition.org, a resource center designed to support businesses and individuals and strengthen our local ties.
My mother, Michelle Clark, was instrumental in helping me start my gardening journey. A community consultant and landscape designer, she recognized my preference as a seed gardener and encouraged me to find my own style. Through her personal commitments to her work, she taught me the benefits of consistency and attention to detail.
It was through God and my mother's guidance that I realized gardening wasn’t just about growing plants, it was about nurturing something meaningful, both in the soil and in life.
Embracing Gardening as Ministry
As my wife, Kiandre, and I embraced gardening as our ministry, we saw how it aligned with our mission to serve and impact the community. Since 2023, I’ve found my niche in handcrafting salsas with love and purpose, creating flavors that tell a story of growth, redemption, and faith.
We’ve been blessed to partner with Shamgar Ranch, whose support has been a tremendous encouragement in helping us bring our vision to life.
Giving Back to the Community
In 2023, I had the honor of speaking to students at Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Elementary for career day, where I shared the lessons I’ve learned through gardening and life.
Today, Kiandre and I volunteer at Beulah Acres in Corinth, continuing to serve our community while growing the business.
At Little L Salsa Garden, every jar of salsa and bottle of pepper sauce tells a story of faith, transformation, and community. Join us on this journey to experience the difference in every jar—and the passion that drives us to serve.

It goes good with fried chicken and scrambled eggs. The sauce has alot of kick and still holds a good flavor profile. 🔥💪

One of the best salsas I’ve ever had. Delicious is and understatement. It’s spicy and has great flavor usually you get one or the other but they’ve managed to do both. They have passion for what they do and it’s evident when you taste their product. This is a rare find, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to try it!!!
